Pottery Barn Dupes
I happen to be a huge fan of Pottery Barn products. However, I happen to be an even bigger fan of saving money. I do often believe you get what you pay for. Although, when aiming to achieve a look on a budget, top of the line quality is not always top of mind.
Console
I’ve been eyeing the media console and accent chair for some time. In our primary bedroom, we have a television but also had a need for more storage. On the left is the Pottery Barn console and on the right is a Target find. The biggest difference is the width of the console and the style of the legs. The PB console is wider and the legs are much more modern and unique than the Target find. PB offers an all natural wood finish or the black and the Target find only offers the combination with black and natural wood.
Accent Chair
We needed an accent chair to help complete our living room (will share more details soon). I loved this Pottery Barn Barcelona Style chair and the contrast of the black metal arms and the beautiful off-white/gray upholstery. However with young kids and this chair being more for decor rather than practicality I really couldn’t justify the cost. Target offers a similar chair for a quarter of the price. As pictured, the cushioning isn’t quite as thick and the legs aren’t nearly as modern. It requires assembly, and the PB chair does not. Target offers free shipping, and PB does not. Aesthetically, the similarities were enough for me to decide to save and not splurge.
I will be sharing more details and photos of my living room and primary bathroom soon. I splurged where I felt necessary, but mostly as you can see decided to save where I could. I still achieved the look I was striving for and I’m really satisfied with the changes so far. Can’t wait to share before and afters once I’ve finished both projects!
